SGT's Jim Wiedman, PMP, CISSP, Enterprise Architecture Program Consultant will be a member of a Panel Discussion at the 2010 Government Solutions Forum being held in Washington DC on February 24, 2010 at the Grand Hyatt hotel.
The session is titled, Web 3.0 - How to Leverage Social Networking to Your Agency's Advantage and will take place on February 24, 2010 from 10:45am – Noon.
Session Overview: Government agencies are being challenged to collaborate, but it is not always clear how to use current and emerging web tools and social networking applications to support business and mission objectives. This session will focus on agencies that have taken pro-active steps to engage their constituents, to foster two-way communication with those they serve, and to change how they function to deliver better, timelier, and more valuable information and end-user experiences. Learn how these government programs selected specific technologies and for what purpose, what criteria they used to evaluation their options, and perhaps most importantly, lessons learned and results to date. What has worked best for inter- and intra-agency collaboration, and how have using these new communications tools changed the way these organizations operate? What are the salient issues to consider before launching new collaboration environments, and how are agencies using chat and other real-time networking approaches to exchange information and make decisions? Learn from these subject-matter experts how to establish policies that enable social networking for targeted business applications, as well as common pitfalls to avoid in your implementation.
