Greenbelt, MD USA - SGT, Inc., a leading provider of Engineering, Science, Project Management, and Information Technology services, today announced that President and CEO, Dr. Kam Ghaffarian has been named a finalist for the Ernst and Young National Entrepreneur of the Year Program.
The Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Program was created 23 years ago to recognize and honor the accomplishments of the outstanding men and women who keep the economy moving forward. The awards identify, salute, support, and reward entrepreneurs – many of whom began with merely a good idea and the unwavering faith that it would succeed. To compete at the National level, individuals must have been recognized at the Regional level and then submitted for National recognition.
Early this year, Dr. Ghaffarian, received regional recognition when he was awarded the Regional Entrepreneur of the Year for Government Services. At the National level, Kam was evaluated under the more general category of Services. On the evening of November 14, 2009, at the National event, held as part of the Ernst and Young Strategic Growth Forum, Kam was recognized as one of the four finalists in the services category. This National accomplishment recognizes Kam’s leadership and overall excellence in starting and sustaining SGT, Inc.
